Am I ?
As we leave the college we resolve to be friends forever no matter whatever are the circumstances. All of us seem to be singing the same song “ Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin thodenge”.
But as time passes by, one gets married and has to choose a career. The distance grows, both in geographical aspects as well as mental aspects. Hence, so many things remain unsaid between friends. The friendship remains but we are not able to dedicate the time to them, how much so ever we wish to.
When one is troubled or in distress, as a friend we can hear them out and help to empower them so that they can solve the problems and face the world. And yes, we can pray for them. A friend who understands this and accepts on the other end remains friends for life.
P. S.: This post is dedicated to my parents, sisters and my friends.

Believe it or not, I never ever sang that song- with anybody. :p
I was a kid and my big sis who meant the world to me asked me to hold her hand and sing along- I REFUSED TO!
Anyway, nice to be friends, sweetie! :)
shankari,
but u r the one who remained friends and went out of the way for others..........
We all just sang songs, the filmi istyle.......
This internet thing is a kamaal ki cheez. Though our friends are on the other side of the globe, we can reach them in a few mouse clicks. :)
inder ;
that is not the same as physical presence, which is what needed at times.
Very true,it is not the as being right there. But after quite a few years of being married, I have still been able to keep in touch with my friends, we call across the globe, share pics and we all know that when we need we can pick up the phone.....I feel the greatest thing about friendship is when you are so faraway and yet take all pains to be in touch
Chitra, you seem to be acting as a magnet to many Shankaris! :)
