Holy holiday

Summer vacation is coming to an end. I have lots of holiday homework to complete………..

When my son started schooling I took a resolution, I shall not procrastinate the holiday homework and keep it till the last minute. But old habits die-hard!

With no choice left, this week, we both have to finish the PowerPoint presentations, charts, writing “muhavres” (proverbs) in flash cards etc. etc. I am off to my mother’s place today as he is there and all of us plan to sit the night out and help him finish it off. Another girl (just fresh out of college and in her first year of job) has also decided to give us a helping hand……………

Interesting project among the lot, which I would like to share with all of you

Building a sandwich and exploring how natural forces create rock layers.

Take a White Bread :-Igneous Bedrock,
Layer it with butter and raisins: - conglomerate.
Another layer of Brown Bread: -shale
Spread it with Mayonnaise: -Limestone,
Spread the Tomato sauce on top: -red sandstone!

Bend this sandwich to form mountains and valleys. And then munch the geological creation!!!!

Yes, we have to observe mosquitoes, cockroaches under the microscope. As far as cockroaches are concerned, I would rather watch them through a telescope!

Here’s wishing myself all the best.
