Ya, What is in a name. Call rose by any name and it would smell the sam, right? dear. This reminds me of an article posted by my friend on her blog aarathiandme.blogspot.com.
At my current frame of mind, I wd have enjoyed the solitude and asked for no one.
First of all dear Chitra, God would never 'ASK', thereby leaving us with little choice to make. He would by himself decide what is good or bad for us and our faith guides us to believe that whatever he decides would be the best. The same happened with Adam. right? God saw that Adam was lonely and decided to create Eve. Adam didn’t ask for Eve. I guess this is very similar to what we see in our lives too.
On a lighter note, if God had created Eve first then I guess Eve would have asked for an ‘ Adam’ much like her…!!! ; -)
As far as I remember the tale, it was Adam who askedfor a companion and so God created Eve . Well, I could be wrong. Pls check it out and let me know .
Quite complicated question... Let me think... May be, she would have asked for the one who would get her anything (be it the forbidden fruit or anything else) that she asks for without refusing or giving a painful lecture or complaining.

Ok chitra, According to me Eve would have asked for Adam only. Both really enjoy each others company. Don't you?
